Update!

I've added a "feed" to the sidebar (under the map)from the National Coalition for the Homeless. They regularly post very interesting articles, often smacking our assumptions and prejudices square on the head!

This frigid week our shelter is at Immanuel Lutheran Church (see sidebar for map). On Sunday we move to Hood River Nazarene Church on the corner of Belmont and 22nd. This is the first time hosting for HR Nazarene (welcome aboard!) and we need you faithful volunteers to help them fill out the schedule. Remember, some of our generous churches have space but need help with volunteers. No matter where we host, all of you are vitally important to the cause!

Thank you all for your generous contributions of time, money, and clothing. We still need your volunteer time and monetary donations but we've been flooded with clothing. It's a nice "problem" to have and we will make sure that these donations reach those in need. At this time, however, we cannot take anymore clothing donations.

Hood River Warming Shelter is scheduled to open through the end of March should the weather require it. This week is a chilly reminder that the weather here can take extreme swings.
